Jax POV

I ran after Riley as she shot through the open door. I smelled blood, and I feared whoever spilled it was still there. Liam already shifted, standing a few inches taller than me with a body looked carved from a light brown stone. Every muscle of his was sharply defined and larger than his human form.

Riley stood in a large open room with a wall length grey stone fireplace and a couch to seat atleast twenty people shaped in a half circle. The ceiling had long thick beams across the top in a light wood, giving it a feel of a real cabin style home.

Her hand laid over her mouth as she cried into it. Tears ran endlessly down her face and I howled inside she had to witness such brutality, or feel this deep of pain.
