Too Easy

Liam POV

We traveled for hours and I remained silent. Jeremiah's anger was radiating off him that it made everyone feel disgusted with themselves. Werewolves are engrained with a sense of loyalty to any who are more powerful. It what keeps our hierarchy of omega, delta, beta, and alpha in line. We didn't usually feel weak compared to those above us, we felt honored.

The problem was that Lycans were too powerful and everyone was below them. When they led with selfish and cruel intentions we not only were helpless to defend ourselves, but we felt an odd need to follow them.

Jeremiah needed to end Demetrius for once and for all. I wasn't sure how he would be as a leader though. It had to be better than his brother, or even his father. Jeremiah and Riley could get the other Lycans to fall in-line or kill them if they challenged us. I just didn’t feel like this was the way to our freedom. It felt like a trap, one I was helplessly stuck in.

After hours of silence Jeremiah finally spoke.
