Chapter 67: Brianna's Threat

When it was around nine o'clock, Niel entered his bedroom again and saw Haylee had already fallen asleep. He turned off the stereo and checked the food tray that she left at the bedside table. She did eat some of the food although she didn't really finish it. 'At least she ate a little,' he mumbled internally and took the remote control of the lights. He dimmed the lights inside the bedroom and then took the food tray to the kitchen.

After that, he went to his study office. It was the room next to his bedroom. He sat on a swivel chair behind the wide office desk inside the room and took out his phone from his pants pocket. His mind kept thinking about Haylee's old house. 'Should I just buy it?' He wondered. 'She grew up in that house since she was little. I bet she must have a lot of happy memories with her parents inside that house,' he thought more. 'Why am I being this sentimental?' He groaned instead, didn't like the melancholy air that surrounded himself.
