It took me a few moments before I could push Flora away, making her fall hard on the floor. She didn’t get angry but laughed instead. I paid little to no attention to her because my eyes were busy looking around for Violette, hoping she wasn’t anywhere near this room to witness my embarrassing moment.

“You look like a man who’s scared after your partner found that you are cheating,” Flora said, standing gracefully while brushing the front of her skirt. “I’m impressed. I didn’t expect you’d be this invested with your little slave.”

“Refrain from touching me like that, Lady Barlow. I’m not fond of getting touched without my permission.” I replied.

“Ah, putting a wall, aren’t you? Haha. Should I call you Lord Noah now? But you are just a bastard. I can’t give you the honor of being addressed like a nobleman.”

“You are missing the point here, Lady Barlow. I’m stating what I dislike for you to remember in the future. I don’t care how you address me. Lord is fine, and so is bastard.”
