Lily notices he's looking at me.
"Oh? You don't have a crush anymore, huh?" Lily snickers.
"It's not like that. I fell asleep in a sweater-" I start
"My sweater," Kaleb says.
"Yeah, whatever. After the hot tub, I was exhausted and I just crawled into the bed wearing only the sweater and I woke up to him feeling me up." I narrow my gaze at Kaleb.
"Oh my god! You guys have my full permission to go at it. By all means, I've been looking forward to it since we were literally kids." Lily gushes.

I huff and shake my head, pushing passed them both and head for the stairs. This is going to be a long Christmas break.

Diane and Mark were shocked this morning when Kaleb came down the stairs. I don't know what made him come up, but it made Lily and her parents happy.

I clear my throat. "No. I just watch because she likes them." I say dryly.

We sit like this for another 20 minutes, Kaleb keeps his arm around me. The ending credits finally come on screen.

"Finally," I breathe out. Kaleb chuckles next to me.

"What movies do you like?" he asks. I'm shocked by the question for a minute. He hasn't acted nice towards me since before high school.

"She likes horror movies and stuff like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings or whatever. Boring and too scary if you ask me." Lily answers him.

"I could watch a scary movie right now," Kaleb says.

"That's my cue to leave. Have at it." Lily hands the remote to Kaleb and leaves. I watch her go up the stairs and she winks at me before disappearing at the top. I can hear her giggle. Bitch.

Kaleb flips through the movies. He finds one of my favorites, Insidious. Although I'm sure he doesn't know I like it. He turns it on and we watch. He's so close, his scent and his body are making me hot all over. This couch is big enough for six people to sit on, yet he's pressed up against me.

"That's bullshit and you know it, Kaleb. You were a complete ass to me once you started high school. And it just got worse as the years went on. Especially when I started dating Dane. We couldn't stand each other. You don't just change those feelings in a matter of a day." I pull away from him.

"Riley-" Kaleb calls quietly after me.

"Don't." I say, walking quickly to the stairs.
