Shienna arrived at L'Restaurante to find Bryan already seated there, having reserved VIP seats for the two of them on the top floor with a view of the city from the balcony. Shienna gave him an awkward smile, as it felt like so long had passed since she and Bryan had interacted.

Even their last communication had been awkward, just spending a beautiful night, and after that, who knows what demon had possessed Shienna to commit such a reckless act that she lost their baby?

"Did you wait long?" asked Shienna as she sat down opposite Bryan. Bryan shook his head.

"I've waited even longer than this, and I'm still going strong. What would you like to eat?" Bryan handed Shienna the menu. "The restaurant has a new menu that you should try. The baby lamb steak is delicious. I'm sure you'll love it."

"Okay, then I'll order that."
