Oh, you've got to be shitting me.
"What are you doing here?" I tried to hide my frustration, but my voice came out hoarse and irritable.
"I just got a job at this company! Isn't this great?" she chirped.
I'm thinking about many words in my head, and 'great' isn't one of them.
"Now we can spend more time together and catch up," she looked at Connor and smiled flirtatiously.
Connor shifted uncomfortably and cleared his throat. "Ah, Miranda. I'm a very busy man. I'm sure we'll be too focused on work to catch up," he said sternly.
"Yes. This is a place of work, not a house party," I narrowed my eyes so hard that they looked like a slit.
