Mitch’s POV
I don't understand. Did I do something wrong to Lexi? Is that why he doesn't want to be my friend anymore? "Why?"
"What do you mean?"
I almost had a heart attack when I heard a voice behind my back. I had alone time for lunch on the rooftop, and a sudden voice interrupted my thoughts. When I turned around, I already felt tired of learning who it was.
"I'm not in the mood to play with you. Leave me alone." I said to Royce as I turned back to the view of the academy grounds below. The weather's great, too lovely, yet I'm all alone.
Royce didn't say anything as he sat on the floor and leaned on the railings. Why is he even here? Can't Royce stop invading my personal space like this? I sighed since he looked like he wasn't going to leave, then I might as well try to find another place where I could be alone. I
Alexis’s POV My hands were trembling, and cold sweat started to break out from my temples. “I… I-I’m not obligated to tell you the reason.” Mitch looked like he was dumbfounded by my answer. “Seriously? You’re going to say that now? Do you really hate me now?” He sighed as he didn’t know where to look. “I don’t understand. Before the sports festival happened, we were all good before I injured myself. So how come we’re like this now?” I balled my fists as I didn’t know what to say. Mitch shouldn’t be suffering like this because of me. He doesn’t deserve pain, unlike me. “I… I don’t want to stay here anymore.” That was the only thing I could say. If I talked about how dirty of a person I truly am, Mitch wouldn’t simply hate me. He’ll despise me. Mitch sighed. “You’re going to hurt me like this without even explaining why?” I stood still
I blinked thousands of times after hearing what Ezra said. "I-I'm a boy." Ezra's face turned red as he covered his mouth with the back of his hand. "I already know that." He said while averting his gaze. W-What's going on? "Stop kidding around. That won't make me stay— I have already decided." That's right. Ezra's joking with me. He's trying his best to make me stay, even lying to me. Ezra sighed as he crouched while hiding his face. "I'm not lying." He said as if liking me was the truth. "I really do like you. And why your secret doesn't matter to me because I will keep on liking every bit of you. No matter what you do." He stood up while panting as if he had just run a marathon. Wait… Ezra's saying some bold stuff right now. Shouldn't he stop pranking me like this?I placed my hand on my chest as I could feel it beating louder than usual. "I-It doesn't matter
Ezra went silent again. It's no surprise since what I'm saying isn't something ordinary people would do. "Now, do you still not find me disgusting?" I couldn't help but ask. "I will never find you disgusting. Instead… I feel like you should stop doing that, but I'm not in the position to say anything." I already know that. Even my parents are saying that to me. "It's too late now." "Why?" I gulped. "I feel like I wouldn't be able to survive if I stop doing that. Wearing girls' clothing makes me feel alive, and being Lia helps me wear those things as her. It's weird, but that's the only thing that could calm me." "Then why not wear it without pretending to be Lia? It's only clothes. There's nothing weird with wearing whatever you want." Ezra said. "So what do you say? Do you want to come back to the team?" Sometimes I
"I-I'm going to die!" We heard Joaquin scream while still doing the push-ups the coach told them to do. "Coach! I brought Ezra." After Dwight called him, coach Alfred turned to us, and his grim expression lightened while he looked at me with confusion. "Alexis? How come you're here? Did you change your mind?" Coach Alfred smiled as he made the others stop doing the push-ups. "You all can take a rest while I talk to Alexis." Almost all of them sighed out of relief because of that. "Am I great, coach? I brought Alexis back—"Coach Alfred pushed Ezra aside and made me walk out of the gymnasium with him. Leaving Ezra and all of our teammates outside. "How come you're here, Alexis? Did you change your mind? What about your work?" It seems like coach Alfred couldn't wait to hear my answers and chose to bombard me with questions. "E-Ezra…"
As soon as I got my hands on my phone, it started ringing, which caught me off-guard and almost made me drop the phone to the hard ground. "Who would call—"I gulped after seeing whose name the caller ID belongs to. "Of course, it's Lean." I prepared to receive a heavy scolding as soon as I answered the call. "Ion?! Where are you?!" I couldn't stop myself from pulling my phone away from my ear because of how loud Lean shouted at me. "We've been waiting for hours here. Are you okay? Did something happen?" I took a deep breath after hearing Lean's voice calming down. "I… I don't want to transfer schools anymore." "W-What?" I took another deep breath. "I said, I don't want to transfer schools anymore. I'm going to stay here in Ravenwood." "Wha— I mean, that's great. But are you still going to work with the VENTURE? Because if you are, come here quick
As soon as I was trying to regain my life balance, the rigorous training made me think about my decisions."Is that all you can do?!"Coach Alfred's voice resonating in my head even after training makes me feel a shiver down my spine. It would have been better to have breaks, but I don't need to worry about that since we'll be having the annual school festival! It's in the second week of October, and today is the start of October, where all students need to prepare for their class's booth. Like what they have in Japanese school, I think?I think I left the house too early again today. Was I getting more and more excited to go to school? The past few days, I have kept arriving first in our classroom since we don't have morning practice because of the rigorous training the team is going through.Although it doesn't feel that bad to walk alone in the path wit
Everything went smoothly after that, except I had trouble helping because of my injured foot, so I was forced to help with the menu instead. Though it's all great since Kent and Elijah were really excellent at coming up with creative ideas for the whole menu. "I think Sanjo and Aries could handle all the cooking for the main dish. But the problem is, desserts aren't their thing." Enzo raised his hand. "Not to brag, but I'm good at baking. I think I could help with that." And so, the planning for the menu ended with Enzo and Taichi helping bake the desserts. "Whose house should we go, to practice cooking these foods?" Kent asked. Sanjo raised his hand. "I think we should do it in the home economics room. It'll be easier." The other agreed. "What? That's boring." Kent said while pouting, so he received a bonk from Elijah, and we all started t
"Isn't that great? Don't worry about us, Alexis. You should go." Zaki said as they all made me go towards Ezra.I'm not even worried about them; I'm worried about myself. With that, Ezra held my arm and gently pulled me to wherever he wanted to go. "W-Wait." Ezra stopped walking and turned to me. His smile didn't vanish as he tilted his head. "What is it?" "I… I want to watch Miss Ravenwood pageant." Ezra's eyes widened as if he just remembered it now. "That's right! How dare I forget about it. Let's go and support Mitch." I nodded to what he said, and the two of us made our way towards the gymnasium. However, he still didn't let go of my arm! Why is he not letting go? Does Ezra think that I might run away from him? Am I a prisoner of his or something like that? "Uhm… can you let go of my arm?
