Chapter 89 - I Know

The silence following what Ezra said made my ears ring. All I could hear was his breathing mixing with mine, and the cold wind touching our skin made me want to hug myself. However, my body's temperature rose due to the heat I could feel due to what Ezra said. 

Ezra scratched the back of his head as he laughed. "I know you don't feel the same, which is why I apologize for my insensitive actions the past few days." He said with an expression that I couldn't comprehend.

"Hey! Alexis." 

Our eyes went to the bottom of the hill, where we saw Mitch and Royce. Did Mitch just call me Alexis? Even though he's been calling me Lexi before… "It's our turn to take a bath," Royce said. I stood up, and Ezra did the same.
