29: A day out

I woke up to a scrumptious aroma coming into the room from the kitchen. I sat on the bed and stretched my legs on the bed and arms in the air. I felt contented and satisfied.

I rolled out of the bed into the bathroom with a huge smile on my face. I brushed my teeth and took a long soapy bath. Humming my favorite song from the 90s ‘All My Life’ by K-CI and Jojo.

It was a little over 30 minutes when I dried myself and tugged on a floral print dress Vivian packed for me. I slipped on my slippers and realized my feet were fully healed. I headed down, taking the stairs, and I was graced with a beautiful heartwarming sight before I descended the last stair.

Clayton and Calvin were cooking in the kitchen drenched in flour as they chased after each other with what I think was our breakfast.

Warmth crept into my chest and a smile broadened on my face as I folded my arms and leaned at the entrance watching the beautiful show playing in front of me.
