Chapter 62

IZZY POV

I thought I was dreaming.  It was just like before when I found out I was pregnant.  I could hear the beeping of the heart monitor and sense that my mates were near me. 

I opened my eyes slowly.  The bright light hurt my eyes and my throat was raw.  I looked around and saw Ethan lying on the couch, sound asleep.  Caleb was in a chair, bolt upright, also sleeping.  I didn’t see Reese.

Heka? I tried to talk to my wolf.  I could feel her, faintly, but she didn’t answer me.

The door to the hospital room opened and Reese came in.  He was pale with dark circles under his eyes, and he was holding three to-go cups.  I could smell the coffee from my bed.

“Izzy!” he said with a sad smile.  “You’re awake.”

I nodded.  “What happened?” I asked.  Talk about déjà vu.

Reese walked over and nudged Caleb
