Chapter 22

Cassandra's POV

I was almost dying due to anxiety as I waited for my boss to answer the customer who was determined to ruin my life in one way or the other.

"My answer is no," My boss suddenly declared and I could see the customer's gloating expression suddenly fade away.

The knot in my chest also suddenly loosened on hearing him say that I wouldn't be fired. I was so relieved because I was actually genuinely scared that he would let me go since I had been causing trouble to him.

"What do you mean by no?"

"I will not fire a diligent worker just because one customer demanded for it," my boss expatiated.

"So now I am a customer that doesn't matter enough? Is that what you're saying?"

"What I am saying is that every single person who walks into this restaurant, both the workers and the customers, each one of them, matters."

A few cheers suddenly erupted in the restaurant at my boss's declaration coming mostly from the customers and I was relieved that there were still people with a brain
