Nicholas' POV

"Nicholas?" my father looked surprised to see me.

I'd suspected something was wrong, a feeling I'd had the whole time I'd been outside the house pack. My father and Rachel were talking about Dasha, and Rachel even tried to ruin my friendship with her step-sister.

"Oh my gosh. You're so great, Rachel. No wonder I feel uncomfortable," I replied to Rachel with a sarcastic smile.

I saw that Rachel looked nervous about my sudden arrival. Rachel glanced at my father before letting out an awkward chuckle.

"I didn't expect you to do this. You've been trying so hard to ruin Dasha and I's relationship," I said sarcastically to Rachel.

"Nicholas, listen. I didn't mean what you said. There's no way I'd badmouth my sister, is there?" asked Rachel, feigning innocence.

I was tired of seeing people like Rachel. They feel no guilt and act like they haven't done anything wrong.

"I don't know why you feel so bad, Nicholas. How could I try to ruin your friendship with Dasha?" Rachel said ag
