10: Luna's secret message
We spent the afternoon working in the third floor library. We make very little progress as the pile of books around us grows. Just before 6pm the Luna comes to find us for dinner. She is short, with long blonde hair, and a bright smile. She is average looking, but to those of us in her pack, she is the most beautiful mother we have seen. I believe it is a part of the magic of a Luna, as the leader's of the pack the Luna ans Alpha can give orders that MUST be followed. But what's more, we all love them in a way that we simply can't help. We love our Luna so much, that we would all die for her in an instant, it is her duty t care for us, and it is ours to protect her.
"All right now, Annie... Ansel... Jack... Let's go. It's time for dinner. And you all need a break." Luna said. "Yes Luna"y father and i said in unison as we stood.

Ansel takes a deep breath before he answers "Well, my pack was very different when I was young, we mostly kept to ourselves. My grandfather HATED witches, so it was against pack law to work with one, they were not allowed on pack lands, if caught they were put to death. Other than that, we were very much like you, or at least, like what I have seen of your pack so far. We have a large mansion that was built in the 1950's where the ranked members live and work. We house the newly paired in what humans would call a guest house. It is basically 9 one bedroom apartments, once the newness wears off, we move them to either the pack house, or one of the 3 apartment buildings on pack lands. "Okay" I start "Here is the plan... We only have another 2 days worth of research here anyway, after that there is nothing else we can do here but wait for Ri'elle to return anyways... Ansel sets up the TV, logging into netflix, then he turns to me and asks "What would you like to watch?" I take a moment to think about it anf then I say "Can we watch Supernatural? I don't know if you like that kind of thing but it's my favorite, and i could really use something comforting." He chuckles and tells me that he has never seen supernatural. "But i would be glad to watch it with you. Lets start it at the begining, that way we can watch the whole thing together... I want to share everything that you love, just as I want to share everything that I love with you... My stomach tightens with guilt at the look in his eyes. I want to tell him that i am sorry, but I don't get the chance. Suddenly his mouth is on mine, fierly hot and dominating. This is the first time that he has initiated physical contact, and the first time that he seems to be trying to show his dominance. "I understand... And that decides it for me. After we talk to Luna tonight we are leaving. First thing tomorrow morning we can talk to the guys, ask them to come with us. We can probably leave tomorrow afternoon... I would rather travel by night, we can sleep during the day. I think that would put us outside your pack territory the middle of the second night... Now, don't take this the wrong way, but i think we whould stay outside the pack, and watch for a day. I want to be sure what we are walking into, we should approach in daylight, IF it is safe." I already know about the gifts. So i skip ahead, looking for something I don't know yet. I see a pasage about hunters and now I am interested...Hunters: Hearing and sight 2 times that of an average human. Their smell is about that of an average human. While any human could have a grudge against supernatural creatures, and start hunting them. However those 'hunters' would just be average humans. True hunters are born of a specific bloodline.The origins of the hunters is not proven, but the story goes that the first werewolf to be mated to a human was an Alpha. His pack refused to acknowledge her as their Luna, instead they killed her. When the Alpha found her body he went into a rage. He took their 5 sons and went to a powerful witch. This witch granted them the power to track werewolves. All hunters now have the ability to track werewolves, they can track the aura or a werewolf, and sense that a werewolf has passed an area as long as a week later.

We return to our room, and the moment that the door shuts, and I lock it, Ansel's whole body relaxes. Like all the tension drains from him. I hadn't noticed how stressed and tense he was. But he is very relaxed here, where we are alone, with a locked door between us and our enemies.I slip off my shoes, and walk up to nuzzle my face into Ansels face. I place my hands on his hips as he wraps his arm around me, pulling me tight against him. When his grip loosens I let out a low growl, he chuckles and replaces his hold around me."I feel like everyone knows something we don't... Either they are hiding something, or..
