71: Ansel's POV
I am telling Annie the story of Miss. Frankie joining the pack, it has been so long since it happened, I am not sure why the memory comes back now.
"I remember the whole time I was expecting my mother to take over the current Luna she outranked the future alpha, I kept thinking that she was going to overrule me. But she never did, she let me give out orders and she made sure they where all followed afterwords. On the way home, she told me she was proud of me, it was the first time I had ever given orders and she backed me up, abd said that she was proud of the way I handled things. She said that I would be the best Alpha the world had ever seen." I tell Annie through the phone.
"Well, she was a smart lady, I only spoke to her a few times, but she loved you, we could all see that everytime she looked at you. She was expecting big things from you." Annie says.

Ansel says that I should assign 10 warriors to take my place as the guards for the fourth check point. I am rather flattered that he thinks I am equal to 10 warriors. That thing with the vampire's and their so called king was a fluke, they were all newly changed, and didn't know how to fight as vampire's yet. "Ansel, can I ask you a favor?" I ask. "Sure...? The rest of the day passes smoothly, with me talking to Ansel on the phone most of the day. I tell him about the day my parent's told me I would never have a wolf. How heartbroken I was as a child, knowing that all of my friends would be able to join the warriors, like our fathers, they would all be able to protect the pack and I would never be of any use. That was also the day that my father decided to start training me, he saw how upset I was, and how much it ment to me to be able to protect the pack. We spent hours every day training, first in hand to hand combat, moving on from there. The guys are all excited to show me, as the queen, that they can handle this assignment. They each take the weapons that they are most comfortable with, and I put the reast back in my car, making sure that I have a few choice options within reach while I am driving. After everyone eats we still have a few hours of driving to do tonight. We say our goodbyes to the guards and head out, I feel eyes on me, like someone does not approve of me backing out of the guard. I try not to let it bother me, since I know that they will understand once they realize why I needed to back out. We spent the night in a camp ground, we are all feeling a heady mixture of anxiety and excitment. We just want to get to the keep, so we can relax a little. I gather the group for lunch, we are having chips, sandwiches, and fresh fruit for our lunch today. Once more of the groups arrive, we will be able to get some shopping done, and start eating real, home cooked meals again. I make sure everyone has some food before I stand up and walk to the center od the group. "I know that you are all wondering why I came here with you, rather than remaining at the check point like we had originally planned... Something happened, and I wanted to be the one to tell you all. Ans I wanted to give you the respect of telling you in person. But before I do, I need to give you an order.No one is to speak of this to any one outside of the Queens Keep."I say the last part in my Queen command tone. Then I take a deep breath before I continue. "I do not want this information to distract those who are still in danger and traveling. Do you all understand?" I ask them, once they agree I go on.
True love's first kill 76: Annie's POV
I wake up just as the sun is comming up, the world is bright and I wish I could roll over and fall right back to sleep, but I know that I won't be able to. Instead I look over at Ansel, watching sleep. I trace my fingers around his face, his nose, eyes, lips, I commit every detail to memory. He is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I give him a light pack on the lips and slip out from under the sleeping bag, slowly unzipping the tent, I don't want to wake Ansel, but I needs me some coffee. I zip the tent back just enough to keep the door closed, then I walk over to the closest fire pit. We have a couple dozen fire pits set up for cooking, and heat. I grab the first percolator I see, I fill it with water, placing the coffee grounds in the metal filter. I stoke up the fire, making sure there is enough hot coals to make the coffee. True love's first kill 77: Ansel's POV
I write down the name's of each pack member as they reach me in the line, I make sure there are at least a few people in each area. The main kitchen in the castle, plus the 7 other large kitchens, and 12 other smaller kitchens in the castle, then there are the 84 full bathrooms, and the 52 half bathrooms {these have only a toilet and sink with a small storage area.) There are also 6 public style bathrooms, 3 mens and 3 womens, they each have 7 stales. This place is huge! We haven't even started on the bathrooms yet... I shutter to think how many bedrooms there are. "I have set aside 2 large rooms for the nursery, or at least for the temporary nursery... Once it is clean I would like all of the youngest children in there so they are safe and out of the way everyone under 8. 12 and older can help with the cleaning if they are up to it, there are lots of smaller jobs that the kids can help with, checking that the fridges are getting cold, moving the food into the ones tha

"I know we are going to have to make all the big decisions eventually, but I think for the tie being we should lean on Alpha Maxwell for guidence." I tell Ansel. "Agreed, he should be givin a voice, I also think that we should make up our own council, take one representative from each of the packs that we our to rule over, that way they can have a say in things like taxes, the gala, and the army. I know we haven't talked about those things yet, but I think most every pack will be expecting each of those things..." Ansel says. "Right, taxes I have thought about, and while I don't really like the idea, I think that we must charge taxes. That way we can use the moneys to fund things like pack repairs after a rogue attack, or a fire, or other such event." I tell him. Ansel heads beck to our tent for an afternoon nap, since he will need to be alert through the night he needs to rest now. I keep telling myself that this is just for today, and after today the schedule will be different and I will not have to be away from Ansel so much. It is not helping though... My heart hurts being apart from him, I know its only for a few hours, but our Amore bond was was damaged before it even had a chance to grow... Because of the nature of the bond it has a will of its own, it WANT'S to be forged, it is trying to push us together. To be honest, if we were not so busy with the merge, the move, and the start of a war, then the bond would have worked its will over me much faster and more easily.
