57. MY BABY

Emery traced her palm on the wall, trying to get the switch. Everywhere was dark, she needed the light now. She finally found the switch, flipped it, and sat straight on the bed.

Clutching her tummy with her hands, she yelped in pain. She felt a discomfort within her, her stomach was severing with pain, sharper than the one she went through whenever she was on her period. That couldn't be period, she was pregnant for crying out loud.

"Ah," she groaned loudly. The sound of her wails woke Benhail. His eyes snapped open when her hand met with his head. "Benhail," her eyes darkened, pain surging through her.

"What's wrong with you?" He quickly sat up. "Emery," he grounded her shoulders with his hands. "What's wrong with you?" He repeated.

"My tummy," she said, pointing at her tummy and hitting her thighs. "Feels like there is a catastrophe going on in there, I am close to death, Benhail. Help me." She cried out, tears staining her cheeks.

"Calm down, how exactly are you feeling?"
