The sun was starting to sink below the horizon but Klaus and Darryl were yet to return. Jaden had fallen asleep and his stubborn fever had started to spike again.

"Rhea..." Jaden croaked, his eyes still closed. I swallowed hard, trying to keep calm. The fact remained that whatever Thalia had done was very effective. Not even the fact that he was a demon wolf, could help him.

"Rhea?" My mate croaked again. This time, his eyelids fluttered open.

"I'm here" I whispered and his tired gaze rested on my baby bump. I took his hand and placed it on my stomach. He let out a shaky breath.

"I don't want to hurt you and our children" he rasped and I shook my head.

"You won't hurt us"

"I have a bad feeling about this, Rhea. I've never felt this wrecked and I can't fight it" he whispered and I bit my lower lip, tensed.

"You're going to be alright. I'll fix you" I said.

He shook his head, his movements slow.

"Do you remember what you saw? Your third vision?" He asked, his chest heav
