He tugged at his collar, his smile wolfish. "You know how I hate meaningless people. It is purely coincidental or fate is trying to play a joke on us."

"And you think I care about what you hate or not. Dante, or Mr. Ian, you are just my boss, not my Alpha or Master. Get that right." She had zero control over her voice at this point, and she saw that he knew that she was a step from punching him square in the face.

He looked at her flatly. "Trying to act mad? Try harder."

"Well, consider yourself lucky because I have no intention of wasting my positive energy on someone so cruel and soulless as you. You can go back to your pack, where you are worshiped. Because here, you are getting none of that."

She turned around, ready to storm out the door. She took the first few steps, but Dante grabbed her wrist and spun her in place. His touch sent a jolt of electricity straight to her heart, which only proved that her mind was brave, but she still feared him.

"Keep quiet," he warned.
