Both father and daughter sat down together, staring at Eric who sat in front of them. Eric’s eyes kept darting back and forth between them, his thoughts all over the place and wondering why a meeting like this was called abruptly.

“I think it’s high time we start rolling in with our plans.” Janiya’s father started.

“What plans?” Eric asked with a raised brow.

Janiya’s father sat up, staring into Eric’s eyes. “The plan was to make sure Janiya ended up with Ronan. And I have the alpha position to myself.”

“You promised to give me the position. You’ll be my beta! That’s what we agreed on.” Eric retorted.

“Well, things have changed.” Janiya said as she stood up.
