TRUTH AND TORTURE

Apart from not remembering her memory, things have been going pretty well for Stacey, even though she feels unsettled about it. Lucien took good care of her, he adored her but his questions about some strange things baffled her greatly.

“My lady, the alpha requests for you in his room.”

Even though they’re mates which she was still finding a bit hard to wrap her head around, they didn’t sleep in the same room. Their room was beside each other, and he had access to her anytime. He also hasn’t touched her, maybe because of the numerous scars on her body which she had no idea where she got them from.

“I’ll be there soon,” she said.

She wore the last piece of earrings before staring at herself in the mirror. Every day she woke up in this room, a part of her screamed to her that this was not her life. Everything felt surreal to her, the rich life, the care and adornment. It felt like she had never gotten it in her life.

Her heartbeat quickened as the door opened, standing up from the chair and taking a few steps back.

“What’s wrong Stacey?” Lucien asked as he entered the room.

“Nothing. Nothing. I was just startled for a bit there,” she replied, smiling a bit at him before taking her seat back.

“Didn’t the maid relay my message? I called for you.” He said.

Stacey stood up back, turning to look at him, “i'm so sorry. I got caught up in preparing.”

“Let’s go then.” He said and turned away from her.

She stared at his back as he walked, a lot of thought going through her mind. He never held her hand, or touched her or displayed any affection to her.

“Stacey?” She heard him call out as she rushed to meet him.

“Where are we going?” She questioned.

He didn’t say anything, just leading her through the hallway while several maids greeted the both of them. Stacey intertwined her palms together, nodding at the maids as they greeted them.

“Ahhh,” Stacey groaned out in pain as she and a maid bumped into each other, causing her to fall on the floor.

“I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry, your highness.” The maid went to her knees immediately, the plates and cups in her hand falling to the floor and piercing her knees.

“It’s fine. I’m not hurt,” Stacey said as she stood up, smiling at the maid.

Lucien didn’t bother to look back, or didn’t notice she had stopped walking behind him. She stretched her hand forward to the maid and helped her up only for her to see her knees bleeding.

“Be careful!” She half yelled as the maid stepped on some other broken glasses.

“Why are you not wearing footwear? Why are you walking with your bare legs!”She yelled.

“Stacey, what are you doing there?”

Lucien called out, his voice and expression pissed.

She helped the maid out of the glass area, putting her arm around her neck and helping her to a chair.

“Let’s go Stacey, leave her be.”

“A moment Lucien, she’s injured.” She said without glancing at him.

She tore a part of her dress, dabbing it against her knees as the maid groaned in pain.

“Can you get the doctor please?” She glanced and asked.

“Let that thing be and let’s go. You’re wasting my time.” He replied.

“Just a moment. Please get the doctor. She’s really bleeding.”

Taking another part of her dress and cutting it, she tied it to the maid’s leg.

“Sorry,” she muttered.

She was just about to tear another part when a hand stopped her, picking her up as his eyes blazed with anger.

“Didn’t you hear me calling you?” He said to her face.

“Lucien, calm down. I was just trying to help her before she goes to treat it. I’m sorry.” She said, staring into his eyes.

“Is it because I’ve adored you for so much that you think you can disrespect me, or what?” He added.

“What? What…what are you talking about?” Stacey asked, searching his eyes for some explanation in his words.

He threw her on the floor, making Stacey groan out in pain as she looked at him.

“Follow me. Now.” He said and turned to the maid.

“Don’t do anything.”

He looked at her, a light smile at his lips and a scoff escaping his mouth, “why do you think I’ll hurt a baby girl like her?”

Stacey squinted her eyes. Baby girl. The word sounded familiar and the tone in which he carried it with.

“Baby girl….” The voice kept repeating in his head.

“Go…baby girl. With me baby girl…” it sounded familiar.

She squirmed her eyes, shutting and allowing herself to succumb to the memories. It all started one after the other, the beatings, how she has gotten the scar, everything about her.

The sounds of her name echoed in her ears and by the time she was awake again, she was already on a bed, the clothes removed from her body and another clothes on her.

“Hello?” She called out, fluttering her brows as she glanced through the place.

Her eyes widened as she saw a metal door, and a padlock chained to the lock.

“Hello!” She yelled loudly.

Two guards appeared just to check on her before rushing away again. She climbed down from the bed, rushing to the door and shaking the thing to get them.

“Someone get me out of here!” She yelled out.

Stacey’s eyes were wide open, her heart pounding with fear. She needed to get out. She needed to escape. Her heart sank as she catched his face, taking some few steps away from the door and back to the bed. Her reaction gave her away as Lucien smiled,

“I believe you must have remembered everything then Stacey. Welcome to my pack.”

“If you had thought that your father hit you that much and made you suffer. Then you’ve not met me. Especially when I want something.” He added before signaling to a guard to come forward.

The door opened, making Stacey stagger to the back. Two guards rushed in, holding her down as the male doctor walked towards her. Before she could yell out or say anything, she felt a sharp and quick pain on her neck, and immediately fell unconscious.
