Chapter 111: Comfort in the Storm

Iris' POV

Ludovic had his special way of putting my fears at bay. Trusting him came without hassles. Looking at him smile down at me, his large arm around my shoulder, cuddling me; what more do I need to be at peace with my mate.

Even while with Gustav, the few memories I had of Ludovic at Amber's motel remained vivid, etched permanently in my brain. I still couldn't explain why I had disturbing visions about him. I dreaded having sex with Gustav to climax, knowing the tragedy that would follow. The bottom line, however, was my salvation from the dungeon.
