I was taken aback, my surprise evident on my face. Lucas chuckled and teased, "You really thought she was one of my conquests, huh?" I sheepishly admitted, "Well, I did think so at first."

Lucas smiled triumphantly and said, "Ah, you see, appearances can be deceiving. I'll prove it to you."

I let out a sarcastic chuckle and challenged Lucas, unable to contain my disbelief. "Oh, really? I can't wait!" I said, a hint of sarcasm lacing my words.
