Grace strode away from our table, clearly upset. Lucas, visibly embarrassed, turned to me, still blushing. "I'm sorry about that," he stammered. "She can be a bit... intense sometimes."

I shrugged, trying to hide my smug satisfaction. "No worries," I replied nonchalantly. "Everyone has their moments."

Lucas gestured to the empty chair beside him. "Please, have a seat," he invited, attempting to change the subject. I obliged, pulling the chair closer to get a better view of Lisa, who seemed flustered by the whole scene.

As I settled into my seat, we began discussing the hospital's formalities, trying to maintain a sense of professionalism. However, it didn't take long for Lucas to shift the conversation towards himself, much to my annoyance.

"I must say, I really do have a certain charm, wouldn't you agree?" Lucas boasted, a confident grin spreading across his face.
