Chapter 25: Tired To Be Home Alone

The belief he created to claim my thoughts almost swam through my veins, if only my mind didn’t walk me to the day when he almost sold me to the green-eyed vampire, I might doing what he commands like a zombie.

He took the letter on the table and held it in his hand, showing me the brown envelope as if it was a trophy right away. His eyebrows were raised and he was smirking as he stared at me.

“I don’t have the money” I declared out loud; my breath released into the air and sweat started to form on my neck.

My reaction caused the face that was bright as the sun turned into a dead star in space, the palm of his hands clenched and one of them crumpled the brown envelope he was holding.

“I don’t believe in what you said” Henry laughed softly, shaking his head as if he senses my lies.

But I learned from the best, my sister taught me to lie when we were kids, but that was only a good lie in an urgent phase.

“I swear to Lord, you
