A Guardian

Aaron left Eon on his study, feeling dejected. He glanced at his watch and was about to leave the club when he caught a sight of his daughter. He sighed and painted a cheerful smile on his lips as he approached her.

“Hey, Lar! Is your brother treating you well?” He reached for her elbow as he sat down on the barstool. She just finished bringing a drink to a customer and her face brightened when she saw him. At least this offspring of him is heartwarming unlike the one he left that was still growling in anger just because he insisted for him to return home.

“Pa,” Larissa swallowed a lump in her throat and smiled widely at her father. She wasn’t expecting him to come to the bar. “Eon is a good employer,” she winked at her old man, chuckling.
