Eon gazed at Lina’s eyes full of questions and he reached for her head and ruffled her hair. He smiled. “No, we aren’t born as puppies.” He shook his head in disbelief.
Lina pressed her lips together, rolling her eyes. Eon clearly refused to answer her question by answering one of the stupid questions on her list. She didn’t believe in that question either. She just put it there on a whim. But the jerk was having a good time with it, laughing his ass off. He’s so annoying, especially when he laughed and the corner of his eyes crinkled and the sound that came out of his mouth sounded like a melodic rhythm.
