Chapter 72: The Truth

"How could you possibly know that?" Selena said while she struggled to sit on the bed.

She was getting annoyed to have that conversation in a vulnerable and lame position like that.

"Well, that's a really long story, but since you don't have anything else to do, I think we can go through that now."

Lucas laid back on the chair beside the bed and crossed his arms, looking at the ceiling thoughtful.

"Do you remember the time you were ambushed by some of Shane's wolves?"

Selena widened her eyes, shocked.

"How did you…?"

"I was the white wolf that saved you that night." Lucas simply said, like that was the most ordinary thing he could say.

Selena couldn't even find the words to express how shocked and confused she was.

She tried to remember exactly what happened that night.

"Wait… But you also had some unusual strength and speed." she said more for herself than for him.

Nothing made sense.
