The atmosphere in the consultation room became subtly tense for a second. Claude's lips curved into a faint smile. But since he was wearing a mask, Lexi couldn't see it.

Following Lexi's denial, he apologized, "Oh, so you're unmarried. My apologies. Though my niece-in-law is also named Lexi, my nephew is quite the bastard."

His tone was filled with disdain.

Lexi didn't know whether to be happy or angry at this.

She wasn't sure about the relationship between Claude and Zachary. But judging from how he called Zachary a bastard, he clearly disliked his nephew. Lexi was somewhat worried that he would disclose her abortion.

"Does your hospital keep patient information confidential?" she asked.

Claude typed the last word on the computer. As he printed out the forms, he chuckled at her question. "With money, you can buy any medical records you want."
