Jaclyn's POV
Jaclyn Dills furrowed her brow.
"Just explain what's going on in this picture, and I'll forgive you. No more digging into it."
The word "forgive" was like pouring boiling oil onto the blazing fire in Natash Yael's heart. She didn't consider the consequences anymore.
A subtle smile played on her lips as she calmly said, "There's nothing to explain. You flirt with so many women, create scandals, wanting the whole world to know. Have you ever explained anything to me?"
My face darkened, and through gritted teeth, I said, "Natash Yael, don't play petty with me. We're talking about you now." "Talking about me," Natash Yael nodded. Years of grievances surged up in an instant, as if she had found the most advantageous weapon for counterattack.
She smirked oddly.
"Alright, you want an explanation since you've already convicted me in your heart. Just like you think, I've known Tommy Fox for a long time. Do you know how long? Long
Natasha's POVI was lost in the memories of Perry's birth. Perry was born in October, during the windy autumn of the Red Moon Pack. It's rare to find a day without wind in autumn, especially in recent years when dust storms frequently visited, casting a gloomy hue over the Red Moon Pack's autumn. Even on clear days, there was a hint of melancholy in the air.But that day was truly a good day, much like the first time I saw Jaclyn Dills at home. I sat on the windowsill of my room on the second floor, not really daydreaming, but thinking about Jaclyn Dills I had seen a few days ago. He was so elegant, gentle, and charming, like the prince from the fairy tales my mother used to read to me.Lost in my thoughts, my face unconsciously heated up. I touched my face and, looking down, saw my father and Linda welcoming three people into the yard with smiles. I immediately spotted Jaclyn Dills. It felt surreal, like a dream. He strolled leisurely, landed at the back, stood next to a bamboo plant
Natash's POVTwo days later, I was discharged from the hospital. The set of houses my mother left me, though in an old building, had a good location, and the surroundings were decent. After discussing with my father, we decided to move there. After all, this house was purchased by Jaclyn Dills, and I didn't want any lingering connections with him after the divorce. When I mentioned moving out, Jaclyn Dills chuckled, "I wouldn't care if you lived on the street yourself, but I won't allow my son to be inconvenienced."His words left me somewhat speechless, and for a moment, I didn't know what to say. Sometimes, this man was truly difficult to understand. The speed at which we got married was faster than I had anticipated.I didn't tell my father much about the divorce. In fact, our marriage had no foundation from the start, and it was difficult to expect a happy ending. Perhaps this was a relatively good outcome, considering we didn't end up in a legal battle.I still returned to the ap
Joey's POVI never expected to run into Natash Yael and Jaclyn, the couple who had been through so much in the past two years.Everyone on the sidelines, including me, felt anxious for them. Finally, they had a child and a wife, and suddenly, they were getting divorced. Natash Yael, a childhood friend who had grown up together, exposed for everyone to see. The marriage was over, but it was evident that Jaclyn couldn't let go.The inside story was unknown to us, and we couldn't find the right words to advise Jaclyn. All we could do was take turns accompanying Jaclyn to drink, but drowning sorrows in alcohol didn't help.Today, I finally managed to take some time off to be with my wife. As soon as we entered, my wife said she saw an acquaintance and wanted to say hello. Marilyn didn't notice Natash Yael with her back turned, but she caught sight of Tommy Fox from a distance.I had dealt with Tommy Fox a few times before, and since we bumped into him, it was only right to greet him. Igno
Jaclyn's POVI find myself ridiculous, watching Luna bid farewell to other men with a charming smile while I can only hide in a dark corner, helplessly witnessing. This is not the outcome I desired. When I agreed to the divorce initially, it wasn't because I genuinely wanted to hand Luna over without a fight. It was because I knew that being too firm wouldn't work, considering Luna's determined attitude of burning bridges without a second thought. After all, I still had to consider Luna and the child in her belly, and we needed time to reconcile. In the hospital, I had already figured it out. Luna's words at that time were undoubtedly spoken in anger. If there was anything between her and Tommy Fox, it wouldn't have waited until now.Even though I felt a pang of jealousy, I couldn't deny that Tommy Fox indeed held an interest in Luna. Rationally, I knew Luna wouldn't marry Tommy Fox with our son, but it still gnawed at my heart.Especially after receiving Joey's call, I couldn't conti
Jaclyn's POVI took several deep breaths in my belly before I could somewhat calm the rapidly churning emotions within me. If this continues, I might actually end up infuriating my Luna. After dinner, I cleaned up the dishes and, coming out of the kitchen, placed a stack of sliced apples in front of Natash·Yael. I sat beside her, showing no intention of leaving, and joined Natash·Yael in watching TV.We didn't speak, only the intermittent sounds from the television filled the room. Under the warm-colored lights, an unusually peaceful and harmonious atmosphere enveloped us—a rarity in our marriage but now seemingly within reach.Natash·Yael slightly turned, her peripheral vision involuntarily falling on me. Apparently, my hasty arrival today didn't allow me to change out of my suit; outside of the office, I usually prefer casual wear in light colors like white and beige. It's a color palette that can be challenging for many, especially men, yet I manage to exude a more elegant style wi
Natasha's POVIn an instant, the celebrities were all ignored, and almost all media cameras turned towards me, Natasha Yael: "Mrs. Yael, can you talk about how you met Fox lawyer? Have you really divorced Jaclyn Dills? Can you reveal the reasons for the divorce?"My head began to ache; I had never experienced such a situation and had no idea how to handle it. Tommy Fox hadn't anticipated this turn of events either and could only protectively step back with me. We took a step back, but the media advanced two steps, leaving us with nowhere to hide.Suddenly, there was a commotion right in front. Jaclyn Dills unceremoniously pushed aside the media cameras, walked over with large strides, and as he extended his hand, I was pulled into his embrace. One hand encircled my waist, and the other waved away the approaching microphones, as we hurriedly walked out of the banquet hall.Tommy Fox glanced at his empty arms and couldn't help but smile bitterly.Jaclyn Dills's movements were quite agil
Tommy's POVAs I stepped out of the hotel, I spotted Catherine standing over there. Catching sight of me, Catherine approached with a charming smile. "Mr. Fox," she greeted.Though my steps paused briefly, my expression remained impassive. Without waiting for Catherine to speak, I cut in, "Miss Catherine, everything has its limits. Otherwise, the consequences are beyond what you can handle."With that said, I strode past her. Catherine's face shifted, her tone reluctant as she asked, "Mr. Fox, are you threatening me?" I turned back suddenly, my voice cold. "No, not a threat. It's a warning."Today, my mood was exceptionally poor. I had neither the time nor the patience to deal with this woman who clearly meant no harm. Some things seemed too idealistic in my mind. Even though Natash Yael and Jaclyn Dills were divorcing, tonight I was painfully aware that Jaclyn Dills hadn't let go. Her sense of entitlement, believing that everything belonged to her, had thwarted my carefully laid plan
Jaclyn's POVWhen I first got married, I knew Natasha Yael had feelings for me. Despite her affection, I chose to be distant and ignore it. I was aware that the liking might still be there, but I couldn't be sure how much. Without any external interference, I could slowly break down the walls in Luna's heart, but if Tommy Fox was lurking nearby, the situation would be dire. If one day Natasha Yael suddenly noticed Tommy Fox's qualities and shifted her feelings, it wasn't entirely impossible.I absolutely wouldn't allow such a thing to happen. Even at the slightest hint, I had to put a stop to it immediately. I thought I concealed my conflicted thoughts deeply, but Tommy Fox saw right through me, as if I were transparent.Tommy Fox suddenly felt that despite my great success in my career, I was a complete idiot when it came to love. It was strange that we cared for each other, deeply loved each other, yet insisted on hiding our emotions, making a mess of everything. This made him think
