38 - Fallen general

Everything happened too fast. Naya couldn’t even react. Her head and body spun as Kael carried her and did the unthinkable – he fought against the Night Ridge Pack soldiers with only one hand. The exhaustion hit Naya, preventing her from lifting even a finger, but her vision remained running and seeing everything made her heart racing.

It was as though Kael was a completely different person when he fought. His movements were precise and swift – even faster than the wind with his claws landing on the vital parts of the enemies, making all their attacks akin to ants.

He and Naya leaped and danced with the wind, his cloak fluttering as he mercilessly took them down one by one.

Not long after, his face mirrored Naya, dirtied with blood. As though he sensed Naya was staring at him, he gazed back at her with his famous crazed smile.
