Prang!
A plate fell and the shards scattered on the floor. This made Sean and Harriet who were still eating immediately turn to the source of the sound. The one who dropped the plate earlier was Angel. Not only that thing fell, but Angel too. Angel's thin body is now lying on the floor helplessly.
"Mommy!" Harriet screamed hysterically, then approached Angel.
And it took Sean a few seconds to come to his senses before he finally ran. Angel had slumped limply on the floor, and Sean immediately brought his lover's head to rest on his lap. "Angel, what happened?" Sean asked frantically.
"Mommy! Why did you suddenly fall?!" Harriet screamed in tears.
The quiet breakfast turned messy.
