A confused declaration.

Evie's POV

Miss Aurora and I were just seated in the living room after trying to sleep, but it was a failed attempt. I guessed that was because the trauma we had these past few days was still rooted in us. I was about to close my eyes when I heard a loud bang on the door.

"You can't go in!"

"The Alpha asked us not to let anyone in!"

I heard the guards protesting at whoever was at the door. I stood up and looked at Miss Aurora, who seemed surprised that someone was forcing their way in. She pushed me behind her and got ready for a battle stance. I moved away from behind her and shook my head at her to show her that I was okay.
