Alpha Damon's POV

The Elders had all called for an emergency meeting the second day after I announced Evie as my mate. I didn't know what the motive of the meeting was, but I was at peace because I knew that we were not under any attack.

Still, I knew that whatever it was that they wanted to discuss so urgently that they had to summon me had to be something that was very important or they wouldn't have done that. I would know once I got to the meeting hall.

"Let's hurry up," I told Samuel. Stephan was not with us as he went to check out a trail about the former managing director that I fired from my company, who went awol on the people I sent to capture him.

"Yes, Alpha." My Gamma responded.

We got to the meeting hall and saw that all the Elders were already present. However, when they saw me, most of them became uncomfortable. It was so bad that I spotted sweat on the foreheads of two of them, while another one seemed to be sweating all over. Somehow, I felt that whatever it was tha
