The strange dream - again.

Evie's POV

I was back to the enclosed ice I was trapped in in the desert. I winced as I saw myself in the cube, looking almost lifeless. The land and everything around it were not in any way more fertile compared to the last time I saw it in my dream. It was still the same - all dull and lifeless. Then, on the other end was the fertile land. Of course, there was also a me that was looking plum and nourished.

"Why am I back here?" I cried from the spot where I stood on the fertile land.

"You have to hurry. I can't hold on for long anymore." My dull self cried from where she was enclosed in the cube.

"What do you mean?" I asked because I got genuinely concerned about the words she spoke. The last time I saw her, all we talked about was just me being fast, not about not having enough time.

For an answer, she merely extended her fingers to me. Or rather her claws as they were what I saw instead of short nails. I furrowed my eyes in confusion, not knowing what to think.
