Mariette P.O.V
I was still in so much shock by what my parents had told me. I was sitting on the balcony, overlooking the forest. I couldn't believe that it was true. The triplets seemed to be so gentle like it didn't even seem that they would be able to hurt a fly or something like that. I sighed as I stared deep into the forest, completely lost in thought. I knew that somewhere in that forest, the triplets were going about doing their thing.
I couldn't understand that they could have been that vicious. They killed without reason and without having any mercy on my grandparents. I curled my legs up to my chest and rested my chin on them. I couldn't believe I managed to fall so hard and so quickly for them, without knowing how deadly they were.
Before long, I felt the rays of the sun start to burn into my face. I fell asleep. I jolted up in the chair and dashed to get inside my room. My face felt like it was on fire as I ran cold water over a cloth to try and ease the burn on my face. I looked in the mirror and saw three burn marks on my face. No, no, no! This can't happen. I moved everything around on my vanity, trying to figure out where I left my ring last night. Finally, the ruby diamond managed to grab my attention.
I heaved a sigh of relief as I slid it onto my fingers. At least I would be able to go to school today. I looked up in the mirror, trying my best to figure out a way to explain this if something at school asked me about the burn marks. What would I even say? I just sighed as I quickly took a shower and got ready for school before my mom came upstairs to wake me up for school.
I quickly rushed downstairs only to see that my father was already up and inside the kitchen making breakfast how did you sleep he asked me not even saying good morning nothing I knew that most probably all those things he told me last night also came back to haunt him and I honestly felt so bad for him I just smiled at him I didn't get that much sleep I replied honestly my father looked up from the pots and at my face he almost got even more pale seeing the burnt marks on my face what happened my father asked it was time for me to be brutally honest and admit how stupid of an idiot I was to have fallen asleep where I did well I kind of went to sit outside on the balcony last night just to get everything wrapped up in my head I guess I managed to fall asleep without marrying my ring was on my vanity last night where I had washed my hands and put cream on my hands I guess I just forgot to put it back on again when I woke up this morning the sun was really boring into my face I answered honestly my father just sighed as he walked over to me he hooked his fingers under my chin and lifted my face up to the light so he could see a little bit better what was going on
Oh Mariette he said as he looked down at me I could see the sympathy in his eyes but I just shook my head please don't that it really was my faults I guess I was a little bit too tired to be outside on the balcony that late at night I replied as I looked away and walked over to the breakfast table I saw that my dad had started to make scrambled eggs and toast his specialty as he called it even though I just think it was the only type of breakfast he actually knew how to make so how did you sleep I asked him as I sat back and took a part of my burnt toast I almost cringed as the burnt crust scratched the inside of my cheeks my father just looked at me I guess I slipped OK marry it nothing to worry about I guess I should have come clean a little bit sooner than what I did I'm so sorry about everything that's going on my father said answering me honestly but do you really think you can see a life with them to live with them my father asked me and I could see secretly deep down inside of him he hoped that my answer would be no I just shrugged my shoulders I really don't know Papa I said.

Oh Mariette I was worried when I didn't see you yesterday morning the barista lady said I just smiled up at her sorry Marie I was a bit tangled up in some things but at least you know I'm back I said with a smile trying to hide my face as best I could I could see Marie look at me with a lot of questions on her mind but I was thankful that she chose to rather leave it alone yes I'm glad to see that you're back I take it the usual for you she saved with the smile I just nodded my head and quickly paid before moving over to where I would get my coffee I stood there lost in thought still not being able to get everything that my father told me out of my mind about the triplets my whole body ran cold the moment I felt a tap on my shoulder no one would ever date his tapping on my shoulder no one beats them I spun around and looked up at Aries staring at me with his usual smirk he instantly got a bit worried when he saw the marks on my face
Mariette what happened he instantly asked trying to get a better look at my face I tried my best to look the other way and for them not to see what was going on nothing I said impatiently waiting for my coffee i could feel their eyes on me and i also knew that they were exchanging looks between them
Mariette P.O.VI was born and raised like the normal vampire typically would. My parents raised me to know that we were the only supernaturals in the world. Werewolves, warlocks, and witches were just fairytales and the humans were the bad guys in the real world. That is what my world has been about, until about six months ago. Now ... now my knowledge of the world out there is completely unknown. Let me take you back.My name is Mariette Dermusk. If you haven't already noticed what I am. I am a vampire. A complete fool to believe everything my parents tell me. I was always raised to be the best in everything that came my way. I was always best in class when it came to my school work, I was always best in class during sports and I was always a daddy's girl, a "Goody two shoes" as my cousins would refer to. Whatever, they were just jealous since I beat them at literally everything.I was a good seventeen and eleven months old, and I would turn eighteen years old soon. Usually, at the a
Mariette P.O.VI was staring at Mrs. Kristen busy explaining some or other equations about trigonometry, but I couldn't stop my mind from drifting to those three I saw this morning. I struggled to place their scents. They weren't vampires, nor were they humans. I felt incredibly confused and most of all, I couldn't understand how three men could look so damn fine! I just sighed as I looked down at my page. I noticed that I unknowingly wrote down his name. I wrote down Aries in my book."Mariette, what is x?" Mrs. Kristen asked me, quickly snapping me out of my sinful thoughts. I quickly tried to scan through all of the contents that she had written on the board, trying to figure out where the hell we were in the sum. I knew that there were two other unknown values that we still needed to get. "I, uhhh, well ... x is ..." I started off. All of the other kids in the class turned around and stared at me. I saw some of them snicker and I knew that I was done for and this was most likely t
Mariette P.O.V:This couldn't be real, there is no way in hell that this could be real?! How on earth are they like ... like ... like EVERYWHERE?! Everywhere I go, I manage to run into them. At least I know now that I wasn't crazy when I met them in the coffee shop and that, indeed, they were triplets. Were they stalking me or something? The four of us just had a stare down. My hands started to feel all clammy and I could feel everything inside of me was starting to melt away as I stared back into those blue orbs. The one in the front just looked on at me with so much emotion in his face. Only when I blinked a few times and allowed reality to come back to me, I realized they were standing there in just short and running shoes, no shirt on those abs ... those abs!!I turned around in order for me to try and gain the upper hand in this situation and to keep my knees shut. "Don't the three of you own shirts?!" I managed to say, even though I wasn't regretting the image of them standing t
Mariette P.O.V:I just stood there ... my back facing the three of them. I couldn't even start to imagine what to do. Nothing in my entire life could have prepared me for all of this. I was a complete stranger when it came to these things. Yes ... my mother always loved to tell me about how my future destined should treat me and of how the destined bond would work, but I had never in a million years imagined that I would have three destineds. "You know ... you can really turn around. We won't bite ... I promise! Unfortunately, we live quite far away so the request for getting some shirts on would be a bit impossible ..." I heard one of them say.Obviously, they would say something like that! I spun around on my heels and just looked at them. I narrowed my eyes at the one in front and I instantly knew that if it was that all of this would have to develop into a bond, he would be the one that I would manage to bud heads with the most. I sighed and placed both of my hands on my hips. "So
Mariette P.O.VI walked into the house, still completely pissed off by what just happened in the forest. I had so many questions running through my head that still remained completely unanswered to me. I didn't know what to think of the entire situation. I only knew two things that were certain to me - The three of them weren't humans, and nor were they vampires. If they were vampires, I would have picked up on it immediately, and they didn't have the same scent that humans had. So, the question still remained to me, what species were they?I ran up to my room to quickly take a shower before I had to head on out to school. I knew that if I didn't hurry, I would likely miss breakfast and hell have mercy on me if I missed breakfast. The rule in the house was always that if I missed breakfast, I would most definitely not be able to take lunch to school. No breakfast always meant no lunch. Apparently, that was some sort of way for my father to discipline m
Mariette P.O.VFull lips ... three sets of lips committing each and every inch of my body to memory ... making it impossible for me to think clearly, making me feel things I never really knew were possible. How on earth could they even make me feel like this? "What's keeping that beautiful little mind of yours occupied, hmmm?" he asked, his voice husky and rough as he kissed my neck, blowing small breaths across my ear.Their small actions they did. Every touch they made to my body, sent goosebumps all over. I couldn't understand how they were getting this right. They were making me feel things I have never felt before. I looked up into his icy blue eyes, getting lost in them, loosing all my sense of reality and rationality as the words started to struggle to leave my mouth. They made sure that I was completely rendered speechless, unable to even utter a word from my mouth.Soon, the other one started to suck and nibble on an 'oh so sweet' spot on my neck, making me gasp for air as my
Aries P.O.VI had to admit that I was honestly shocked that Mariette got into the SUV with us. I knew that we were taking a big risk in doing this. I knew that there was a chance that she would give us the boot for tracking her down to her school and trying to convince her to skip the rest of the day and hang out with us. I couldn't stop myself from glancing back in the rear view mirror. Her beauty completely had me hypnotised. There was something about her, something so rare ... almost like a sort of gemstone. She reminded me so much of my mother. Maybe that was the reason why I felt so comfortable around her, she was the spitting image of my mother when it came to her personality. I loved rubbing her up the wrong way and seeing her feisty side. The moment Mariette caught me looking at her in the rear-view mirror, she made a face before giving me the death glare. Her death glare seemed to have been one of her favorite things to give me. I just snickered, causing Allec, who sat next t
Mariette P.O.V:"Just stay calm, Mariette! I am sure they will likely get us out of here in no time!" Aries said to me. I just looked over at him, feeling the faint headache that was on its way from hanging upside down for 5 minutes already. I just squinted my eyes at him. "You know ... I really am not freaking out at the moment ... right?" I said to Aries. I couldn't help but not want to laugh at his face. His face was all red with the blood that was gushing to his brain. "I think you should rather be the one who needs to stay calm! Looks like your face is undergoing some ... discoloration, I think?" I mocked him. I could see him narrowing his eyes at me before shaking his head and looking the other way.It felt like forever until the maintenance team finally managed to get us back down to the ground. It looked like the triplets had been turned inside out and rushed through the washing machine. "How ... on ... earth ... are you managing to still be able to stand up straight?" Allec a
