Caleb forcibly suppressed his anger, trying his best to ignore Lugh. He looked at Ember gently and said, “Em, we’re married. We should be the ones dancing together!”

That instantly caught everyone’s attention as they waited for the drama to unfold.

Ember looked at him with her chin slightly raised, but her eyes were icy cold. “You must have forgotten, Mr. Lane. The only thing that’s between our divorce is your signature.”

As soon as he signed the divorce papers, they would both be set free.

“But we’re not divorced yet!” Caleb insisted, with a hint of anxiety in his eyes.

With a mocking smile, Ember tucked her hair behind her ear and stared right into Caleb’s eyes. “I don’t understand how you can be so thick-skinned.”

Caleb said through gritted teeth, “Em, please don’t.”

Ember never expected that despite already sounding so harsh, he still didn’t want to let her go.

“Don’t do what? Mr. Lane, looking at the relationship we had four years ago, we should separate peacefully.”
