71: He's Back

Exhausted.

That was all I can feel right now. I was exhausted to think that we can win this battle if we are persistent and would believe that we can. But seeing these people with me, crying as their loved ones die in front of them. How could I tell them to keep on fighting? If they are now losing their reason to fight?

I held the sword, Inueh's sword as he lay down the ground covered with blood. I looked blankly at the sky, why does it need to happen to that child?

I managed to protect him at once, but I didn't realize it would happen again and the second time around, I was not there to protect him. How can this world be so cruel to him? He just wants to fight and protect his people, so does he need to suffer like this?

"I-Inueh…" I called him even though he was not moving. I am hoping that he is still alive. Tears are coming to drown my eyes, it's already blurry. The rain stops but my face remains wet because of the tears I am crying right now.
