Chapter Twelve: Message

Three large stones were thrown through the house's glass windows. Both of them looked shocked, even though fear was hard to be found on Ligaya's face. V furrowed his eyebrows and hurried outside to check on the culprit, Ligaya followed at once. But they were too late. The ones who did it had already run away with their car. 

"What was that for?" Ligaya asked as soon as she got outside to follow V. V looked a bit agitated, although his whole aura seemed relax. 

"A messege." He responded at once while looking at something on the ground. Ligaya followed his gaze and there on the ground, she saw a couple of dead scorpions which seemed to be placed there intentionally. Both were silent but none looked threatened, until V's phone rang. 

"They just stopped by...I know...just a message. They want another meeting...I'll take care of it." He hanged up and looked at Ligaya's direction.

"Get inside," he said.
