‘We will find out in time’ those words kept repeating inside Karilaya’s mind and though the captain did not answer, she knew the man didn’t agree with her. Though the captain did not say it out loud, she could feel it as the subject was never brought up, even within the days that came.
She knew she had made a mistake bringing up the thought of staying there. As the moment the captain saw the clear skies he suggested they move forward and continue to proceed of finding a way out to escape that place.
That was why she remained silent as they began traversing the land, they moved through the thick and lush forest in haste.

A towering purple mist was already surrounding him, making it hard to see what was in front or behind him and it also felt like his eyes were burning from it. “Max! No, stay with me.” Karilaya tried shaking the man to wake him up but ended up falling on the water with him when his body finally gave in. The man was already in a deep state of sleep, his body began to turn cold, and his color started turning pale as the purplish venom could be seen continuing to crawl inside his veins. Not giving a second thought Karilaya quickly pulled the man out of the river, not having enough energy to use her magic after throwing several spells against the giant serpent, she was barely able to use her magic to move the man who weighed almost thrice her own. At that same moment, she felt a surge of magic within the air, forcing her to drag him to a nearby cave that she saw hidden near the waterfalls. Karilaya’s consciousness was woken up by the extreme heat and tension that her body was feeling, it felt like she was burning up from inside, her muscles tightening as she felt waves of pressure bombarded every part of her body. Max brushed his fingers on the pole that was still very much solid, too nicely preserved for something that was covered in plants and being subjected to very turmoils of inconsistent weather. He turned his gaze around, the trees were quite less dense here and looked more familiar than before, though they were still quite large in size.There were also places that were too well flattened along with having a few slab stones that were properly and neatly placed along the ground. A lot of things did not make sense to him now, as long as he could remember the storm lands were said to be uninhabitable by normal people, so why was it that there was a place like that there.Besides that, he could not help the disturbing feeling that has been scratching inside of him because of the lack of large beast around them. Karilaya closed her eyes, taking in deep breaths as she held her clothes tightly, making sure that they do not fall off as she walks back to where the captain was.After their dinner and cleaning up, she immediately decided to clean herself up in order to prepare for the night.
