“So it's true what they said, you truly are unable to return to your human form,” Lilian jumped to Max’s side, grabbing hold of his arm, though the man remained perfectly still like a statue.

He didn’t want to make idle chit-chat knowing what it meant for her to be there. Max could feel the veins on the side of his head beginning to throb, making him feel like his head was being hit by a large mallet. The woman did not pay any attention, continuing to play her fingers on his chest, even though his face was already crumpling and he was letting out soft growls of protest.

Finally having enough Max pulled his arms away before giving the woman a sharp stare. “You say she has put a curse on me, so tell me now, what kind of magic is it exactly?” he grumbles, face still showing those hard lines.
