“I hope everything mum and dad told me is not true. You would not steal what belongs to me, right?” Emerald asked me as she covered the space between us.

“Steal what belongs to you?” I tilted my head.

That was what they told her? That I stole Daniel?

Of course, my father would not want to admit that he had forced me to marry the man and now that he no longer has any say over it, he wanted to dump the blame on me.

After all, Emerald was that favorite daughter he would not want to offend.

“Logan is mine!” She snapped.

I ran my hand through my hair and moved back gently then burst into laughter.

“Hold on, he told you that I stole him?” I asked amidst laughter.

My eyes dropped on my father who shook his head to me, stylishly pleading to me to go with the flow.
