Chapter 72: Sudden change

I thought everything's okay.

I became complacent, comfortable and I continued to move forward. Not until, as if all my sources of strength and happiness were suddenly taken away from me. I told myself that I’m not alone in all these trials because I have sympathizers, friends, and like my second parents. But all of it seems like an illusion because they suddenly disappeared.

After the defense and exams, I went near the gate of the campus to wait for Sera. I texted her that we will entertain ourselves since today is the last day of the exams. It's better if we don't stress and will bond before the Christmas Party since I’m not attending it next week. I waited for a few hours until I saw her with her female classmate walking towards my direction.

I approached her and smiled, "Sera, let's go to the mall?"

They stopped talking when they heard me and she looked at me. To my surprise, she averted her eyes from me and pulled her classmate away.
