Background

ATHENA'S POV.

I didn't know what to make of his words, or in what direction to think. He knew me? But why didn't I know him.

Was I to really believe he knew me just like that? Where did he know me?

"You know me. How do you know me?" I asked, and suddenly felt my wrist taken into his large hands.

I tried it snatch my hands back, he held it firmly, although even in the firmness of his grip, he didn't let my wrist hurt.

"I knew you when we were much younger. Much, much, younger." He replied, rubbing slowly against my wrist with his thumb.

What was he doing? Or trying to do?

"Much much younger? I'm afraid I do not recall that." I said warily. "That's a time anyone can easily claim to know someone." I added, and he gave a light chuckle.

"You were my bethrothed. Our marriage had been decided by our fathers a long time ago. It's been so long, but I still remember it. You may not remember it, and I won't pressure you to…"

"Can I say something?" I asked, and he stopped talking.
