Losing Out

ALPHA JEREMY'S POV.

I waited in my room for the Physician to relay the news of Henry's health to me, and those minutes spent waiting were agony. I could not bring myself to concentrate on anything else.

The only thing I did was sit on my bed with my elbows on my knees and fingers clasped together.

If I lost Henry, I didn't know what I'd do. Waiting was agony as I didn't know what was going on. Finally, after close to four hours, one of the Physician's trainees knocked on my door.

“Come in.” I said, getting to my feet.

“The physician said, if you want to see him briefly, you can.” She relayed to me and I walked out the door quickly. “What is he doing?” I asked her, as she followed me.

“He's running additional tests, but we managed to find a way to separate the poison from his bloodstream through chelation therapy. He has to take the treatment weekly, so we can heal him totally.
