Losing Out

ALPHA JEREMY'S POV.

I waited in my room for the Physician to relay the news of Henry's health to me, and those minutes spent waiting were agony. I could not bring myself to concentrate on anything else.

The only thing I did was sit on my bed with my elbows on my knees and fingers clasped together.

If I lost Henry, I didn't know what I'd do. Waiting was agony as I didn't know what was going on. Finally, after close to four hours, one of the Physician's trainees knocked on my door.

“Come in.” I said, getting to my feet.

“The physician said, if you want to see him briefly, you can.” She relayed to me and I walked out the door quickly. “What is he doing?” I asked her, as she followed me.

“He's running additional tests, but we managed to find a way to separate the poison from his bloodstream through chelation therapy. He has to take the treatment weekly, so we can heal him totally. For humans, they might never recover on some occasions, but he's a wolf, and a strong one at that, so he'll
