Riley's pov:

While I was cleaning dishes at the diner, Gina whined, "I had plans to go out with my friends tonight, but I got stuck here." "If only the Boss had given me leave, I would have gone there and had fun with them," she said, "but everything is ruined because of him. Why is he so self-centred? He has the freedom to go wherever he wants, but he does not let his employees enjoy life. If he continues to be like this, I'm going to stop working here." "Why are you so quiet? Why aren't you speaking up?"

"If only I had someone like Hailey, I would have gone out with my friends," she groaned as she continued. "You're fortunate to have such a friend. Could you please ask her to cover my shift as she did yours?" When I attempted to leave, she grabbed my hand and said, "Ask your friend to cover my shift as well.
