Chapter 40

Hailey's pov:

After the trip, I went to my house. When i entered the house, I saw mom, dad and Charlie sitting in the living room. Are they having a family meeting? Whatever. When I ignored them and tried to go to my room, dad shouted my name and asked me to stop. I said as I stepped on the stairs, "I'm sorry. I don't have any energy to argue with you, let me go to my room and have a good sleep." "I'm tired."

Dad, "Charlie said you're not coming home these days. Tell me where you 've been all these days and you can go to your room when we're done."

"Why don't you ask Charlie about that too? Why bother asking me?"
