Haden

Two days later Ivory was able to come home. I took her upstairs and settled her and Damien into our room.

"I'm so happy to be home but I'm exhausted."

"I'll go make you something to eat. What would you like?" I questioned.

"Spaghetti and meatballs."

"Alright but I'll have to go buy some spaghetti. We're all out."

She pecked my lips and sat on the chair with Damien cradled in her arms.

"I'll be back soon," I kissed Damien's forehead and left.

I got into my car and dialed Vincent's number. I didn't expect him to answer but he did.

"Hey man. I need help with something. It's important and it has to do with Aubrey," I admitted, "Please."

There was a pause on the line then he answered, "Meet me at Starbucks in 10 minutes."

I really didn't expect that.

I drove to Starbucks and ordered a latté while I waited on Vincent. A couple minutes later Vincent arrived. He sat opposite me and he had a really calm expression on his face.
