Chapter 47It took Nancy a week to wait for Derek to see reasons with her and change his mind about not letting her have her way concerning what she wanted to do. Chapter 52It was not until late afternoon that Nancy left the stable, she had spent the whole day there with nothing to eat. Paying deaf ears to Phil's endless plea for her to go and eat something. For Nancy, it was her first time seeing such strange light but Rosey was an old hand at it. At first, Nancy was frightened by the colorful glow until Rosey explained that the colorful light in the sky was a normal phenomenon and that it appeared frequently. She also got to learn that the light took different shades, and was sometimes white. The more beautiful colors were blue, red or even violet. Nancy was enthralled, and looked forward to seeing more.
