SAMANTHA’S POV

What the hell was I doing? I wasn't usually like this, I wasn't pathetic. But I was gradually slipping into being pitiful and sticking up to someone and I didn't see anything wrong about it.

Lucas was turning me into a sober lady, I wasn't a sober person. Maybe, civil to an extent but definitely not sober. "Use your seatbelt," Lucas said, clicking his seatbelt.

"Yeah sure," I said, and fumbled with the seatbelt, he smirked. I had made it obvious that I was nervous. He pulled the seatbelt and clicked it.

He pressed the start button and started driving out of the mansion, "How'd it go?" I questioned, referring to the trip he had gone for. There was no response.

I rolled my eyes, he was embarrassing me and he enjoyed every bit of it. "You didn't mention it, I even asked your Dad and–"

"Samantha cut me some slack," he said. Now, he was acting like a jerk, a cold jerk.

"Lucas, is there something I should know?" I questioned turning to face him, from the corner of my eyes I saw him staring
