Chapter 28: Obsession
Florence had been hearing an anguished cry for close to ten minutes now and she began to feel fear, wondering who could be by their gate. Curious, she opened the door to her balcony and stood, looking through the spaces between the iron.
"Tom!" She called when she saw her son, sitting on the floor, a bottle beside him. Immediately, she turned and ran inside, rushing down the stairs. In no time, she got out of the compound and ran to the gate.
"Tom! Tom! What's going on?" She drew him to her, trying her best not to gag as he was stinkingly drunk. She tried to lift him but he was heavy, when she saw she couldn't do it alone, she ran to the house Infront of hers to get her neighbor.
She banged on the door, not caring if she was disturbing. Jared, her neighbor, opened the door immediately, wearing only his pajama bottoms, his perfectly sculpted chest open for all to see. Florence tried her best not to blush, as she tried to comport herself.
